Welcome to the Green Caravan Cafe, a charming little gem tucked away at 401 Anakiwa Road, Anakiwa 7281, New Zealand. This delightful cafe, housed within a food caravan, boasts not just a perfect stopping point but offers a warm, inviting atmosphere and exceptional service that makes every visit a special occasion.

The Green Caravan Cafe may have a simple menu, but it shines with quality and sincerity. As one customer, M.D. Hildebrand, aptly notes, it's not the most extensive menu, yet the food is satisfying and well-prepared. The emphasis here is on serving delicious comfort food tailored for the weary adventurer.

Located right at the terminus of the Queen Charlotte track, this cafe is a welcoming sight for travelers and hikers alike. Picture yourself finishing a long trek and being greeted by the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the cool, refreshing taste of artisanal ice cream, as highlighted by customer reviews. Kortney Thoma raves about the sweet, friendly atmosphere, mentioning how she enjoyed a lovely chat while savoring her ice cream on the outdoor benches, leisurely drying out in the sunshine. It's not just a cafe, it's a community experience.

Throughout your visit, you'll find the owners of Green Caravan Cafe are genuinely invested in providing friendly service. As Ben Newman shares, they can always be counted upon to open on time, making this cafe a reliable refuge after a day of exploration. The atmosphere is relaxed, yet filled with a sense of camaraderie, as patrons share their triumphs on the trail while being served well-timed espressos and refreshing ginger beers, perfect for celebrating every milestone.

Although Alex Raison mentions that the espresso might be a tad watery, the sense of fulfillment that comes from this quaint stop is undeniable. The cafe doesn’t overwhelm with choices, but rather it perfectly fits its scenic surroundings and the hearts of those who visit. Jane S. echoes this sentiment, expressing relief at finding their favorite tea and ice cream as a much-needed reward at the end of the Queen Charlotte track.

In essence, a visit to the Green Caravan Cafe is not merely about food; it's about the experience, the friendliness, and the relief that comes after a good hike. Whether you're seeking a moment of rest, a refreshing treat, or delightful company after your adventures, this little cafe captures the spirit of the great outdoors and warm community spirit. So next time you find yourself meandering through Anakiwa, make sure to stop by and discover the sweet offerings waiting for you at this charming destination.

Not the most extensive menu I’ve ever seen at a food truck / caravan, but they served us well.

This is honestly just the sweetest cafe ever run by one of the nicest people! I had a lovely chat with my icecream today while drying out in the sun on their benches. What a treat to find this at the trail terminus! Thank you for all you do and your friendly service!

Perfectly timed espresso and ginger beer to celebrate finishing the Queen Charlotte track. Possibly a little too much water in the espresso.
